Carbon monoxide has no colour or smell, so a faulty gas heater can leak it into your home without any warning. Our licensed technicians carry out gas heater carbon monoxide testing on ducted gas heating, space heaters and gas log fires, checking the heater and its flue while the system is running. A carbon monoxide test is included as standard in every All Good gas heater service.
Air tested while the heater runs.
Peace of mind before winter.all winter.
Fumes vented outside, not indoors.
Enough fresh air for safe burning.
A gas heater that looks fine can still spill carbon monoxide if the burner is dirty, the flue is blocked or exhaust fans pull fumes back into the room. A proper carbon monoxide test checks all three with the heater running. Tap a number to see what we test.
Carbon monoxide is produced when gas doesn’t burn completely. It has no colour, smell or taste, and the early symptoms, such as headaches, dizziness, nausea and tiredness, are easy to mistake for a cold or the flu. A cracked heat exchanger, a dirty burner or a blocked flue can let it into your home.
That is why a carbon monoxide test is part of every All Good gas heater service, not an extra. Carbon monoxide testing is a fixed flat fee of $239 for new customers and $229 for returning customers. We test ducted gas heating, gas space heaters and gas log fires, and explain the results before we leave.
Heater, gas connection and surrounds checked for damage, soot and scorch marks.
Inspected for cracks, blockages and signs of poor combustion.
Flue checked for blockages, leaks and correct draw to outside.
Air around the heater sampled with a CO analyser while it runs.
Pipes insulated, pressure tested and vacuumed before the gas is released.
Room ventilation checked and the results explained before we leave.
Ducted gas heaters sit out of sight in the roof space or under the floor, so problems can go unnoticed for years. A ducted heating service with a carbon monoxide test checks the heater, the flue and the outlets, so fumes are not carried through the ducts into your living areas. We also carry out gas safety checks for rental properties. In Victoria, rental providers must have gas appliances checked every two years.
Roof-space and underfloor ducted gas heaters inspected where problems hide.
Carbon monoxide checked at the vents, not just at the heater.
Two-yearly gas safety checks for Victorian rental properties.
Once your system is running again, we can help keep it that way. From air conditioner servicing and cleaning to installation quotes and carbon monoxide testing, the same licensed technicians handle it all.
Same-day or next-day diagnosis. We find the fault on-site, explain your options, and fix most problems in one visit with the major parts we carry.
A step up from a standard service for heavily used or neglected systems, including internal parts, coils, drain pan and mould treatment.
An on-site assessment and detailed quote for a new system. The quote fee is credited if you go ahead with the install.
A full checklist tune-up that keeps your unit running efficiently, extends its life, and helps maintain your manufacturer warranty. Additional unit on the same visit.
An on-site quote to safely relocate, remove or decommission existing ducted equipment.
A detailed written assessment for your insurance claim, plus a replacement quote if needed.
There's no need to check whether your brand is covered. If it heats or cools, we can work on it.

Carbon monoxide testing checks whether a gas heater is leaking combustion gases into your home. With the heater running, we sample the air around it with a carbon monoxide analyser, inspect the burner, heat exchanger and flue, then repeat the test with exhaust fans on and the home closed up.
Energy Safe Victoria recommends having gas heaters serviced at least every two years, and the service should include a carbon monoxide test. Book sooner if the heater is old, has not been serviced for a while, or you notice any warning signs.
Carbon monoxide testing is a fixed flat fee: $239 for new customers and $229 for returning customers, applied automatically. The test is included as standard in every gas heater service. If we find a fault, we explain your options and give you a clear price before any repair goes ahead.
You cannot see or smell carbon monoxide, so watch for symptoms: headaches, dizziness, nausea, tiredness or shortness of breath that ease when you leave the house. Warning signs on the heater include a yellow or sooty flame instead of a blue one, soot stains around the unit and a pilot light that keeps going out. If you suspect a leak, turn the heater off, open doors and windows, go outside and seek medical advice. Call 000 in an emergency.
No. A carbon monoxide detector or alarm is a useful backup, but it only tells you once gas has already built up near the alarm. It does not replace a professional carbon monoxide test, which checks the heater and flue directly and finds faults before they become dangerous.
Yes, if it is a gas system. A cracked heat exchanger or a faulty flue on a ducted gas heater can let carbon monoxide into the airflow, and the ducts then carry it to every room. That is why we test at the outlets as well as at the heater.
No. Split system and reverse-cycle air conditioners run on electricity and do not burn fuel, so they cannot produce carbon monoxide. The risk comes from gas appliances such as gas heaters, gas log fires and ducted gas heating.
In Victoria, yes. Rental providers must have a gas safety check carried out on all gas appliances every two years by a licensed gasfitter, and keep a record of it. The check includes carbon monoxide testing on gas heaters.
Yes. Someone 18 or older should be there to provide access to the heater and exhaust fans, and so we can explain the results before we leave.
