Split system service · Victoria
Every reverse cycle split system we service in Victoria goes through the same 12-point checklist, indoor and outdoor, for one flat fee. If anything fails a check, we stop, show you, and quote the fix before doing any extra work. Ducted and gas heating services follow their own checklist, including a carbon monoxide test on gas appliances.
We listen and look first, because most faults show themselves before the covers come off.
Noises, smells, drips, error codes, rooms that never get comfortable. You know the system better than we do.
Cooling and heating, on high fan. We note airflow, sound and smell before cleaning changes anything.
Power off at the isolator and tagged. Drop sheets down, shoe covers on.
Filters, coil face and outdoor unit, so you can see what came out.
Where the dust, pollen and mould live, and where most smells and drips start.
Checked for tears and warping. A filter that doesn’t seal lets dust straight onto the coil.
Coil cleaner worked into the fins and rinsed, so air can move through the whole face, not just the edges.
The barrel fan behind the louvres. Black build-up here is what throws musty air and specks into the room.
Then flow-tested with water. A slow drain is the usual reason a unit drips down the wall in summer.
The half most services skip. In Victoria it bakes through northerly heatwaves and sits in frost on winter mornings.
Leaves, lint and cobwebs cleared, coil washed out. A blocked coil makes the system run hot and trip.
Fan blades, brackets, vibration pads, pipe insulation and electrical terminals tightened.
Gauges on, air temperature measured going in and coming out. This is how we know it’s actually performing.
Readings, photos and anything we’d recommend, explained before we leave. No surprise work.
When to book in Victoria
Service before the season, not in the middle of it. Most Victorian homes ask one reverse cycle system to cool through summer and heat through a cold winter, so the best time depends on which job matters more in your house. As a rule, service a split system once a year, or twice if it works hard in both seasons. Gas ducted heating should be serviced at least every two years.

Now booking: pre-summer services, September to Novemberpre-winter services, March to May.
Book a pre-winter service between March and May. A system that sat idle all summer shows its faults on the first cold night, and that's when every technician in Victoria is booked out.
Book between September and November, before the first 35-degree northerly. That's when a dirty outdoor coil turns into a tripped system and a hot night.
Service twice a year, once before each season. Grass pollen from October to December loads filters and coil faces quickly, and a clean coil means cleaner air in the room.
Not cooling, not heating, leaking or noisy? We find the fault on-site and fix most problems in one visit.
A full clean and tune-up that keeps your system efficient, extends its life and helps protect your warranty.
An on-site assessment of your rooms and layout, then a clear quote for the right-sized system.
A deep clean of coils, fans and drains to clear mould, dust and odours from the system.
A safety test of your gas heater and flue. Included as standard with every gas heater service.
Moving a system to a new wall or room, including new pipework and recommissioning.
A written report on damage to your system for insurance claims after storms, floods or power surges.
Tell us what your system is doing and we’ll point you to the right service before we book anything in.

What’s included, what it costs, how often to service and when to book. These are the questions Victorian homeowners, landlords and businesses ask us most.
Before summer or in the off-season
Licensed, insured and local
Split, multi-head & ducted
We service homes and businesses across Victoria. That includes every part of Melbourne, from the CBD and inner suburbs out to the growth corridors, plus the Yarra Valley and Dandenongs, Frankston, the Mornington Peninsula, Phillip Island and Geelong and the Bellarine. Further out, we cover Ballarat, Bendigo, the Macedon Ranges, Shepparton and Wangaratta. Use the town checker on this page, or ask when you book and we’ll confirm.
Every service follows the same 12-step checklist:
You get a written report with readings and photos. If anything fails a check, we show you and quote the fix before doing any extra work.
Service and preventative maintenance is a fixed flat fee: $259 for new customers and $249 for returning customers, applied automatically. The price is the same on any brand. If we find anything that needs extra work, you get a clear quote first, and nothing goes ahead without your approval.
At least once a year. Most Victorian homes use one reverse cycle system to cool in summer and heat in winter, so if yours works hard in both seasons, service it twice a year: before summer and before winter. Homes with pets, allergies or a lot of dust also benefit from a six-monthly service.
Before the season, not during it. Book a pre-summer service between September and November, before the first hot northerly. Book a pre-winter service between March and May, before the first cold night. Bookings fill quickly once a heatwave or cold snap hits, so booking early means you won’t be left waiting.
Yes. A reverse cycle split system is a heater as well as an air conditioner, and in much of Victoria it works harder in winter than in summer. Every service tests the system in both heating and cooling. We also check that the outdoor unit defrosts properly, which matters on frosty mornings in places like Ballarat and the Macedon Ranges.
Yes. We service ducted reverse cycle systems of all sizes. A ducted service includes:
This keeps every room heating and cooling evenly.
Yes. Carbon monoxide is odourless and invisible, and a poorly maintained gas heater can leak it into your home. Our licensed gasfitters service your gas heater and test it for carbon monoxide using calibrated equipment. Carbon monoxide testing is included as standard with every gas heater service, and you get the results in writing.
A service is routine maintenance that keeps a working system clean, efficient and reliable. A repair is for a system with a fault, such as no heating or cooling, leaks, noise or error codes. We find the cause on site, quote the fix and repair most problems in one visit. Regular servicing is the best way to avoid needing repairs.
Tell us what your system is doing and we’ll point you to the right next step: a service, a repair or a quote for a new system. Licensed technicians across Victoria, one flat fee per visit, any brand.
