Adelaide summers are dry and fierce, with runs of days over 40 degrees, and winter nights are cold enough to keep a heater busy. Our licensed technicians handle air conditioning service, repairs and installation across Adelaide and [the Adelaide Hills]: split systems, ducted reverse cycle air conditioning, evaporative air conditioning and gas ducted heating. Every service covers the whole system, with the readings written down, for a flat fee agreed before we start, on any brand.
What every service covers
Split system service · SA
Every reverse cycle split system we service in SA goes through the same 12-point check, indoor and outdoor, for one flat fee. An air conditioning service in Adelaide has two things to deal with: fine dust that packs into filters and coils over a dry summer, and the long run times that come with 40-degree days. If a check fails, we stop, show you, and quote the repair before any extra work. Ducted reverse cycle, evaporative air conditioning and gas heater services each follow their own checklist, and every gas heater gets a carbon monoxide test.
We ask, run and watch first. How a system behaves tells us where to look once it is opened up.
Odd noises, smells, drips, error codes, the room that stays warm. Nobody knows the system's habits better than you.
Cooling, then heating, on high fan. We note airflow, sound and smell so we can measure the improvement afterwards.
Isolator off and tagged for safety. Drop sheets under the unit, shoe covers on before we step inside.
Filters, coil face and outdoor unit, so you have a record of what the service started with.
Where fine dust settles after a dry Adelaide summer, and where most smells and drips begin.
Washed clean and inspected for tears and warping. A filter that has lost its shape lets dust straight onto the coil.
Coil cleaner worked into the fins and rinsed away. A dust-caked coil is the main reason a system runs longer and cools less.
The fan behind the louvres. Build-up on its blades cuts airflow and throws dusty, stale air into the room.
Then tested with water. Dust and slime block the drain, and a blocked drain is why a unit drips down the wall.
The half most services skip. In SA it faces dusty north winds, 40-degree days and cold winter mornings.
Dust, leaves and cobwebs cleared and the coil washed through. A blocked coil overheats and trips out on the hottest afternoon.
Fan blades, brackets, vibration pads and pipe insulation inspected. Electrical terminals checked and tightened.
Gauges connected and the air temperature measured going in and coming out. That tells us how well it is really cooling and heating.
Readings, photos and any recommendations explained before we pack up. You approve any extra work first.
When to book in SA
Service before the season, not in the middle of it. South Australia gets both extremes: Adelaide summers bring runs of 40-degree days on hot northerly winds, and winter nights are cold enough to keep the heater on for months. So the right time depends on what you run. Book a reverse cycle air conditioning service once a year, or twice if it heats the house too. An evaporative air conditioner needs its service before summer, and a gas heater service is due at least every two years, before winter.

Now booking across SA: pre-summer services, September to Novemberpre-winter services, March to May.
Book between March and May. A gas ducted heater or reverse cycle system that sat idle all summer shows its faults on the first cold night, when gas heating repairs across Adelaide are booked out. A gas heater service includes a carbon monoxide test.
Book between September and November, before the first run of 40-degree days. That covers a reverse cycle service or an evaporative air conditioning service, where the pads, pump and water system are cleaned and checked before start-up.
Service twice a year, once before each season. Adelaide's spring pollen and dusty north winds load filters and evaporative pads quickly. Clean filters and a clean coil mean cleaner air in the room.
Not cooling, not heating, leaking or noisy? We find the fault on-site and fix most problems in one visit.
A full clean and tune-up that keeps your system efficient, extends its life and helps protect your warranty.
An on-site assessment of your rooms and layout, then a clear quote for the right-sized system.
A deep clean of coils, fans and drains to clear mould, dust and odours from the system.
A safety test of your gas heater and flue. Included as standard with every gas heater service.
Moving a system to a new wall or room, including new pipework and recommissioning.
A written report on damage to your system for insurance claims after storms, floods or power surges.
Tell us what your system is doing and we’ll point you to the right service before we book anything in.

What a service covers, what it costs, how often to book and how we look after evaporative coolers and gas heaters. These are the questions SA homeowners, landlords and businesses ask us most.

Licensed, insured and local
Split, ducted, evaporative & gas
We service homes and businesses across Adelaide and its surrounds: the CBD and inner suburbs, the eastern suburbs, the western suburbs and beaches, the northern and north-eastern suburbs, and the southern suburbs down to Aldinga and McLaren Vale. Every split system service follows the same 12-step checklist:
You get a written report with the readings and photos. If a check fails, we show you and quote the repair before any extra work.
Servicing is a fixed flat fee: $259 for new customers and $249 for returning customers, applied automatically. The price is the same for any brand of air conditioner. If we find something that needs more work, you get a clear quote first and nothing goes ahead without your approval.
At least once a year. Adelaide’s dry summers and dusty north winds load filters and coils quickly, and most homes rely on the same reverse cycle system for heating through a cold winter. If yours works hard in both seasons, service it twice a year: before summer and before winter. Homes with pets, hay fever or a lot of dust also benefit from a service every six months.
Before the season, not during it. Book a pre-summer air conditioning service between September and November, before the first run of 40-degree days. Book a heater service between March and May, before the first cold nights. Bookings fill quickly once a heatwave or cold snap arrives, and the wait for air conditioning repairs in Adelaide grows with them.
Yes. Evaporative air conditioning is common across Adelaide, and it needs a service before each summer. An evaporative air conditioner service covers the pads, the pump and water distribution, the fan and belt, and the water tank, which is drained and cleaned. We then run the system and check the airflow at the vents. Worn pads are quoted before we replace them.
Yes. We service ducted reverse cycle air conditioning of all sizes. A ducted service includes:
That keeps every room heating and cooling evenly. Gas ducted heating has its own service, covered in the next question.
Yes. Many Adelaide homes still heat with gas ducted heating or a gas wall furnace. Carbon monoxide has no smell or colour, and a poorly maintained gas heater can leak it into your home. Our licensed gasfitters carry out your gas heater service and test for carbon monoxide with calibrated equipment. The test is standard with every gas heater service, and you get the results in writing.
A service is routine maintenance that keeps a working system clean, efficient and reliable. A repair is for a fault: no heating or cooling, leaks, noise or error codes. For air conditioning repairs and gas heating repairs we find the cause on site, quote the fix and repair most problems in one visit. Regular servicing is the best way to avoid them.
Tell us what your heating or cooling is doing and we’ll point you to the right next step: a service, a repair or a quote for a new system. Licensed technicians across Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills and Gawler, for reverse cycle, evaporative and gas, one flat fee per service, any brand.
