It starts with an on-site quote, so you know the full cost before any work begins.

Moving or removing an air conditioner is not a matter of unbolting it. The refrigerant has to be recovered first, by a licensed technician, before the pipes are disconnected. Whether you want the unit moved to a new position or taken out for good, tap a number to see how the job is done.
Renovating, extending, replacing an old system or clearing a unit that no longer works? Air conditioners hold refrigerant gas that is illegal to release into the air, so air conditioner removal is not a DIY job. In Australia only a licensed technician can recover the gas and disconnect the system.
An All Good relocation or decommissioning starts with an on-site quote, a fixed flat fee of $199 for new customers and $189 for returning customers. We assess the existing system, the pipework and access, and the new position if you are moving it, then give you a clear price to relocate, remove or decommission it.
Unit, mounting bracket and controller taken down from the wall.
Refrigerant pipes taken out, or capped and sealed where they stay in place.
Drain disconnected and the wall penetration sealed.
Unbolted and lifted off its base or wall brackets.
Gas captured in a recovery cylinder by an ARCtick certified technician.
System switched off and isolated before any work starts.
Ducted systems are the bigger job. The indoor unit sits in the roof space or under the floor, the ducts run to every room and the outdoor unit often has to move for a renovation, extension or new deck. We quote to relocate the outdoor unit, reroute outlets and ducts to suit a new floor plan, or decommission and remove an old ducted system that is being replaced.
Filter and grille washed so the system can breathe properly.
Outlets moved and duct runs changed to suit a new floor plan.
Roof-space unit, ducts and outlets taken out, ready for the replacement.
Once your system is running again, we can help keep it that way. From air conditioner servicing and cleaning to installation quotes and carbon monoxide testing, the same licensed technicians handle it all.
Same-day or next-day diagnosis. We find the fault on-site, explain your options, and fix most problems in one visit with the major parts we carry.
An on-site assessment and detailed quote for a new system. The quote fee is credited if you go ahead with the install.
A safety test of your gas heating system and flue lines. Included as standard in every gas heater service, or book it on its own.
A full checklist tune-up that keeps your unit running efficiently, extends its life, and helps maintain your manufacturer warranty. Additional unit on the same visit.
A detailed written assessment for your insurance claim, plus a replacement quote if needed.
There's no need to check whether your brand is covered. If it heats or cools, we can work on it.

Never released to the air
Air conditioner removal cost depends on the type of system, how many units there are, where they are mounted and how easy the access is. A ground-level split system costs less to remove than a ducted system or a unit on an upper storey. Our on-site quote, a fixed flat fee of $199 for new customers and $189 for returning customers, gives you a clear price before any work starts.
Yes. We can move the indoor unit, the outdoor unit or both. The refrigerant is recovered first, the unit is disconnected and refitted in its new position, and the pipework and drain are rerun to suit. The system is then pressure tested, vacuumed, recharged and run before we leave.
The cost to relocate an air conditioner depends on how far the unit is moving, the length of new pipework needed, the wall type and the access. Moving an outdoor unit a short distance costs less than moving an indoor unit to another room. Your on-site quote sets out the full price.
No. A split system holds refrigerant gas under pressure, and it is illegal in Australia to release it into the air. Only a technician with a refrigerant handling licence can recover the gas and disconnect the system, and penalties apply for doing it without one.
Before any pipe is disconnected, the refrigerant is either pumped down into the outdoor unit and sealed in, or recovered into a cylinder with a recovery machine. That keeps the gas contained, so the system can be recharged after a relocation and nothing is released on a removal.
Decommissioning means taking a system out of service safely and permanently. We recover the refrigerant, isolate the power, remove the indoor and outdoor units, and remove or cap the pipework and drain. The wall penetrations are sealed so the area is ready for repairs or a new system.
It depends on the age and condition of the unit. Relocating a newer system makes sense. For an older system, the cost of moving it can come close to the cost of a new, more efficient one, and some older units use refrigerants that have been phased out. We’ll tell you honestly which makes more sense when we quote.
It is recovered into a cylinder by an ARCtick certified technician and returned through the industry’s refrigerant recovery program for safe disposal. It is never vented, which protects the environment and keeps the job legal.
Yes. Someone 18 or older should be there to provide access, show us the existing system and confirm where a relocated unit should go.
