Carrier specialists
Carrier has been building air conditioners for more than a century, and its split, ducted and commercial systems are in homes and buildings across Australia. Our licensed technicians service, clean, repair and install Carrier air conditioners, with a fixed price agreed before any work starts.
Every Carrier system
Whether it’s a split system at home or a packaged unit on a shop roof, our technicians know how Carrier systems are built and what tends to go wrong with them. These are the Carrier systems we work on most.
Wall-mounted Carrier split system air conditioners, from single bedrooms to open-plan living areas.
Whole-home ducted reverse cycle, including the many older Carrier ducted systems still running.
One outdoor unit running several indoor heads. We service every head and the shared outdoor unit.
Ceiling-mounted Carrier cassettes that spread air in four directions, common in offices and shops.
Carrier packaged units on shops, offices and warehouses, serviced on a schedule that suits the site.
Fault-finding Carrier wall controllers, thermostats and zone systems that have stopped responding.
Carrier systems installed ten, twenty or more years ago. We repair them where it's worth it and tell you honestly when it isn't.
Sizing and installing new Carrier split and ducted systems, or replacing an old unit like for like.
Common Carrier faults
Most Carrier problems start small: a flashing light, a drip, a room that won’t quite get cool. These are the faults we fix most often, and what usually causes them.
A blinking light or a code on the controller means the unit has logged a fault. We read the code, find the cause and fix it, from sensor faults to communication errors between the indoor and outdoor units.
Weak airflow or lukewarm air usually comes down to blocked filters, dirty coils, low refrigerant or a failing part. We test the system and tell you exactly what’s wrong.
Drips from the indoor unit are almost always a blocked or badly graded drain line. We clear it, check the fall and stop it happening again.
Rattling, buzzing or a musty smell on start-up points to loose parts, a worn fan or mould on the coil. A deep clean or repair usually sorts it out.
When to service
The best time for a Carrier service is just before you need the system most. A check a few weeks ahead catches a tired part or a blocked drain before the first heatwave or cold snap, when everyone is calling at once.
Each season’s service focuses on the mode you’re about to rely on, and you get a written report at the end.
Get your split or ducted Carrier cooling properly before the first hot week.
Make sure heating mode, defrost and airflow are working before the cold sets in.

Get the clarity you need
Once a year for most homes, ideally just before summer or winter. In between, clean the filters yourself every few weeks when the system is in heavy use.
Keeping the system maintained is part of looking after your warranty. Every visit comes with a written report, so keep it with your purchase paperwork in case you ever need to make a claim.
Turn it off at the remote or controller, wait a few minutes and restart it. If the error comes back, leave it off and book a check so a small fault doesn’t turn into a bigger repair.
For many models, yes. We check what’s available before quoting a repair, and if a part is no longer made we’ll tell you and price a replacement system instead.
A split system usually takes about an hour per indoor unit. Ducted systems take a little longer, because we also check the ducts, zones and controls.
Split, multi-split, ducted and ceiling cassette systems, along with Carrier rooftop and packaged units on commercial buildings.
If the system is under about ten years old and the fault is minor, a repair is usually worth it. For older systems facing a big repair, we’ll give you both prices so you can decide.
