What to Expect From Your HVAC Technician Visit

Before the visit

Book online or call 1300 730 896. Payment is taken at booking by credit card or EFT to confirm your appointment, and you'll receive confirmation of your time slot.

During the visit

A locally based technician arrives at the scheduled time. You'll need to be home to let them in. Anything beyond the booked service is discussed and quoted in writing before it goes ahead.

After the visit

Your work is covered by our workmanship guarantee. If something isn't right, email us and our dedicated team will treat it as urgent.

What's included in an air conditioner or heater service?

Every service includes cleaning and sanitising the filters, cleaning the indoor coil and fins, flushing the drain line, washing the outdoor unit, checking refrigerant and pressures, and testing the electrical connections, controls and thermostat. Gas heater services also include a carbon monoxide safety test as standard.

How often should I have my system serviced?

We recommend a professional service at least once a year, ideally before the season you rely on it most. Reverse-cycle systems that work hard in both summer and winter benefit from a service before each season.

When is the best time to book?

Book before the season, not during it. A pre-summer service (September to November) gets your cooling ready before the first heatwave, and a pre-winter service (March to May) gets heating ready before the first cold night. Booking early also means you avoid the peak-season rush.

How much does a service cost?

Service & preventative maintenance is a fixed flat fee: $259 for new customers and $249 for returning customers, applied automatically. If we find anything that needs extra work, we give you a clear quote first and nothing goes ahead without your approval.

What's the difference between a service and a repair?

A service is routine maintenance that keeps a working system clean, efficient and reliable. A repair is for a system that has a fault, where we diagnose the problem and recommend a fix. Regular servicing is the best way to avoid needing repairs in the first place.

What happens if you find a problem during the service?

We’ll show you what we found, explain your options and give you an upfront price before doing any extra work. Many small issues can be fixed on the same visit once you approve them.

Does regular servicing help with my warranty?

Yes. Many manufacturers expect systems to be professionally serviced to keep the warranty valid. Regular servicing with All Good helps maintain your manufacturer warranty, so keep your invoice as a record of each visit.

Do you service my brand and type of system?

Yes. We service all major brands, including split systems, multi-split systems, ducted reverse cycle, evaporative coolers, hydronic heating, gas heaters, gas log fires and ducted gas heating, for both homes and light commercial properties.

Do I need to be home for the service?

For most services, yes. Someone 18 or older should be there to provide access and approve any work. For outdoor-only work, we can often make arrangements in advance.
