Actron Air specialists
Actron Air is an Australian brand best known for ducted air conditioning built for our climate, and we look after the whole range. Our licensed technicians service, clean, repair and install Actron Air conditioners, with a fixed price agreed before any work starts.
Every Actron Air system
Whether it’s a zoned ducted system through the whole house or a single Serene split in the bedroom, our technicians know how Actron Air systems are built and what tends to go wrong with them. These are the Actron Air systems we work on most.
Whole-home ducted reverse cycle, including the Advance, Aires and UltraSlim ranges in single and three phase.
Wall-mounted Serene splits, from single bedrooms to open-plan living areas.
One outdoor unit running several indoor heads. We service every head and the shared outdoor unit.
Ducted systems that send air only to the rooms in use. We fix zones that won't open, stuck dampers and uneven airflow.
Single-box Actron Air units on the roof or beside the building, common in shops, offices and some homes.
Setting up and fault-finding NEO, QUE and LM7 controllers and the Actron Air app when they stop talking to the system.
Classic, Platinum and earlier ESP ducted models. We repair them where it's worth it and tell you honestly when it isn't.
Sizing and installing new Actron Air ducted and split systems, plus relocating existing units when you renovate.
Common Actron Air faults
Most Actron Air problems start small: an error code on the controller, a zone that won’t open, a room that won’t quite get cool. These are the faults we fix most often, and what usually causes them.
An E9, E5 or E52 code on the wall controller, or a Run light that keeps flashing, means the system has logged a fault. We read the code, find the cause and fix it, from sensor faults to communication errors between the indoor and outdoor units.
Weak airflow or lukewarm air usually comes down to a blocked return air filter, dirty coils, low refrigerant or a failing part. We test the system and tell you exactly what’s wrong.
Water marks on the ceiling under a ducted unit, or drips from a split, are almost always a blocked or badly graded drain line. We clear it, check the fall and stop it happening again.
A blank or frozen wall controller, zones that won’t open, or an app that has dropped offline. We check the wiring, zone motors and control boards so the fault doesn’t come straight back after a reset.
When to service
The best time for an Actron Air service is just before you need the system most. A check a few weeks ahead catches a tired part, a blocked drain or a zone that isn’t opening before the first heatwave or cold snap, when everyone is calling at once.
Each season’s service focuses on the mode you’re about to rely on, and you get a written report at the end.
Get your ducted or split Actron Air conditioner cooling properly before the first hot week.
Make sure heating mode, defrost and airflow to every zone are working before the cold sets in.

Get the clarity you need
Once a year for most homes, ideally just before summer or winter. In between, clean the return air filter yourself every few weeks when the system is in heavy use.
Keeping the system maintained is part of looking after your warranty. Every visit comes with a written report, so keep it with your purchase paperwork in case you ever need to make a claim.
An E9 or other error code means the system has logged a fault. Turn it off at the wall controller, wait a few minutes and restart it. If the code comes back, leave the system off and book a check so a small fault doesn’t turn into a bigger repair.
Turn the system off at the wall controller, switch off the isolator next to the outdoor unit for a few minutes, then turn both back on. A reset can clear a one-off glitch. If the fault returns, the system needs a technician, not another reset.
A ducted system usually takes one to two hours, because we also check the ducts, zones and controller. A split system takes about an hour per indoor unit.
Ducted, split, multi-split and packaged systems, including zoned ducted systems run from a NEO, QUE or LM7 controller, and older Classic, Platinum and ESP models.
If the system is under about ten years old and the fault is minor, a repair is usually worth it. For older systems facing a big repair, we’ll give you both prices so you can decide.
