Honeywell specialists
Honeywell thermostats and controls run the heating and cooling in many Australian homes, often on equipment made by another brand. Our licensed technicians replace, rewire and repair Honeywell thermostats and the systems they control, with a fixed price agreed before any work starts.
Every Honeywell control
Whether it’s an old dial thermostat in the hallway or a Wi-Fi model you run from your phone, our technicians know how Honeywell controls work and what tends to go wrong with them. This is the Honeywell work we do most.
Wall thermostats for ducted heating and cooling, replaced like for like or upgraded to a newer model.
Programmable Honeywell thermostats, including the T4, set up so the house is warm when you need it.
Zone valves, dampers and controllers that decide which rooms get heating or cooling.
Honeywell gas valves and ignition controls inside ducted heaters, tested and replaced by a licensed technician.
If a Honeywell portable air conditioner isn't coping, we can size and quote a split system for the room.
Wi-Fi Honeywell Home thermostats installed, wired and connected to the app.
Round and slider-style Honeywell thermostats on older heaters, replaced when they stop holding temperature.
Fitting a Honeywell thermostat to a new or existing system, wired and tested before we leave.
Common Honeywell faults
Most thermostat problems start small: a blank screen, a house that’s warmer than the setting, a schedule that won’t hold. These are the faults we fix most often, and what usually causes them.
A blank Honeywell thermostat usually has flat batteries, no power coming from the heater, or has simply failed. We test each one so you only replace what’s broken.
If the house is hotter or colder than the setting, the thermostat may be badly placed, out of calibration or wired to the wrong zone.
When the thermostat calls and nothing happens, the fault can be in the thermostat, the wiring or the system itself. We trace it from the wall back to the unit.
Smart thermostats that drop offline or ignore the schedule often need rewiring for constant power, or setting up again from scratch.
When to service
The best time to check a Honeywell thermostat is just before you need the system most. A check a few weeks ahead catches a failing thermostat or a loose wire before the first heatwave or cold snap, when everyone is calling at once.
We test the thermostat together with the heating or cooling it controls, and you get a written report at the end.
Make sure the thermostat is bringing the cooling on at the right temperature before the first hot week.
Make sure the thermostat is starting the heater properly before the cold sets in.

It depends on the model. Many battery models reset when you take the batteries out for a minute, while wired and Wi-Fi models are reset from the menu. The manual for your model has the exact steps.
The usual causes are flat batteries, a tripped breaker or blown fuse at the heater, or a thermostat that has failed. Try fresh batteries first. If the screen stays blank, book a check.
Most ducted heaters and many add-on cooling systems can use one, but some systems need the manufacturer’s own controller. We check the wiring and tell you before you buy anything.
Yes, in most cases. A digital or programmable thermostat usually fits the same wiring and holds the temperature more accurately.
A like-for-like swap is a quick job. Smart thermostats can take longer if extra wiring is needed for power.
Yes. We wire the thermostat, connect it to your Wi-Fi and the app, and set up the schedule with you before we leave.
Thermostats are rarely worth repairing. If yours is inaccurate or unreliable, a replacement is usually the cheaper and longer-lasting fix.
