Common Lennox faults

Lennox playing up? We'll find out why.

Most Lennox problems start small: a fault on the thermostat, a zone that won’t cool, a rooftop unit tripping out. These are the faults we fix most often, and what usually causes them.

01

Fault codes or tripping out

A fault on the thermostat, or a unit that trips its breaker, has a cause worth finding. We test the electrics, sensors and compressor and fix what’s wrong.

02

Not cooling or heating properly

Weak airflow or lukewarm air usually comes down to blocked filters, dirty coils, low refrigerant or a failing part. We test the system and tell you exactly what’s wrong.

03

Water leaking inside

Water marks on the ceiling under a ducted unit are almost always a blocked or badly graded drain line. We clear it, check the fall and stop it happening again.

04

Zones or thermostat not responding

A blank thermostat or zones that won’t open usually trace back to wiring, a zone motor or a control board. We find which and fix it.

Not sure what's wrong? Book a check and we'll tell you.

When to service

Service your Lennox before summer.before winter.

The best time for a Lennox service is just before you need the system most. A check a few weeks ahead catches a tired part, a blocked drain or a zone that isn’t opening before the first heatwave or cold snap, when everyone is calling at once.

Each season’s service focuses on the mode you’re about to rely on, and you get a written report at the end.

Get the clarity you need

What does a Lennox air conditioning installation involve?

We measure the home or building, work out the capacity needed, and install the unit, ducts, outlets and controls. You get a fixed quote before any work starts.

Once a year for most homes, ideally just before summer or winter. In between, clean the filters yourself every few weeks when the system is in heavy use.

Keeping the system maintained is part of looking after your warranty. Every visit comes with a written report, so keep it with your purchase paperwork in case you ever need to make a claim.

Yes. We service and repair Lennox rooftop packaged units, and can set up regular maintenance visits so filters and coils are done on schedule.

A ducted home system takes a little longer than a split, because we also check the ducts, zones and controls. Rooftop units depend on size and access.

Ducted, split and add-on cooling systems in homes, and rooftop packaged units on commercial buildings.

If the system is under about ten years old and the fault is minor, a repair is usually worth it. For older systems facing a big repair, we’ll give you both prices so you can decide.

No. All Good is an independent heating and cooling company and isn’t affiliated with Lennox. Our licensed technicians service, repair and install Lennox systems across the range.
