Toshiba specialists
Toshiba built the first inverter air conditioner in the early 1980s and still makes quiet, efficient split and ducted systems. Our licensed technicians service, clean, repair and install Toshiba air conditioners, with a fixed price agreed before any work starts.
Every Toshiba system
Whether it’s a split system in the bedroom or ducted reverse cycle through the whole house, our technicians know how Toshiba systems are built and what tends to go wrong with them. These are the Toshiba systems we work on most.
Wall-mounted Toshiba inverter split system air conditioners, from 2.5kW bedroom units to large living areas.
One outdoor unit running several indoor heads. We service every head and the shared outdoor unit.
Ducted reverse cycle Toshiba systems, including zoned installations, serviced, cleaned and repaired.
Ceiling-mounted Toshiba cassettes that spread air in four directions in open-plan rooms and shops.
Dust and mould cleaned from the coil, fan barrel and drain so the unit smells fresh and moves more air.
Fault-finding Toshiba remotes, wall controllers and Wi-Fi control, and explaining what the symbols do.
Earlier Toshiba inverter and non-inverter models. We repair them where it's worth it and tell you honestly when it isn't.
Sizing and installing new Toshiba split and ducted air conditioning, with a fixed price before we start.
Common Toshiba faults
Most Toshiba problems start small: a blinking light, a drip, a room that won’t quite get cool. These are the faults we fix most often, and what usually causes them.
A blinking light on the indoor unit means it has logged a fault. We read the code, find the cause and fix it, from sensor faults to communication errors between the indoor and outdoor units.
Weak airflow or lukewarm air usually comes down to blocked filters, dirty coils, low refrigerant or a failing part. We test the system and tell you exactly what’s wrong.
Drips from the indoor unit are almost always a blocked or badly graded drain line. We clear it, check the fall and stop it happening again.
Rattling, buzzing or a musty smell on start-up points to loose parts, a worn fan or mould on the coil. A deep clean or repair usually sorts it out.
When to service
The best time for a Toshiba service is just before you need the system most. A check a few weeks ahead catches a tired part or a blocked drain before the first heatwave or cold snap, when everyone is calling at once.
Each season’s service focuses on the mode you’re about to rely on, and you get a written report at the end.
Get your split or ducted Toshiba cooling properly before the first hot week.
Make sure heating mode, defrost and airflow are working before the cold sets in.

Get the clarity you need
Once a year for most homes, ideally just before summer or winter. In between, clean the filters yourself every few weeks when the system is in heavy use.
Keeping the system maintained is part of looking after your warranty. Every visit comes with a written report, so keep it with your purchase paperwork in case you ever need to make a claim.
The main ones are the mode symbols: a snowflake for cooling, a sun for heating, a water drop for dry mode and a fan for fan-only. If the unit won’t heat or cool, check it hasn’t been left on Dry or Fan. The manual for your remote lists the rest.
We check the room size and layout, confirm the right capacity, mount the indoor and outdoor units, and run the pipes, drain and power. You get a fixed price before any work starts.
A split system usually takes about an hour per indoor unit. Ducted systems take a little longer, because we also check the ducts, zones and controls.
Split, multi-split, ducted and ceiling cassette systems, including older Toshiba models.
If the system is under about ten years old and the fault is minor, a repair is usually worth it. For older systems facing a big repair, we’ll give you both prices so you can decide.
