Air conditioning & heating services in QLD, done properly.

Queensland works an air conditioner hard: months of heat, heavy humidity and a storm season on top. Our licensed technicians handle air conditioning service, cleaning, repairs and installation across Brisbane, [the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast]: split systems, multi-head systems and ducted air conditioning, with reverse cycle heating for the cooler months. Every service covers the whole system, indoor and outdoor, with the readings written down, for a flat fee agreed before we start, on any brand.

Air conditioning service & cleaning · QLD

What our split system air conditioner service in QLD actually covers.

Every split system we service in QLD gets the same 12-point check, indoor and outdoor, for one flat fee. In Brisbane, on the Gold Coast and on the Sunshine Coast, humidity makes aircon cleaning the heart of the job, because mould grows on the coil and fan long before the system stops cooling. So each air conditioning service is a proper clean followed by measured tests. If a check fails, we stop, show you, and quote the repair before any extra work. Ducted air conditioning follows its own checklist.

First, we watch it run

A few minutes of listening and looking tells us most of what a system has wrong, before any cover is removed.

You tell us the story

Musty smell at start-up, water on the wall, rattles, error codes, a room that never cools. You live with it, so we start there.

Test cooling and heating

Both modes on high fan. Airflow, sound and smell are noted first, so the result after the clean has something to beat.

Isolate and protect the room

Power switched off and tagged at the isolator. Drop sheets down, shoe covers on, furniture kept clear.

Photos before we start

Filters, coil face and outdoor unit photographed, so you can see exactly what the clean removed.

The indoor unit

In Queensland humidity, this is where mould and slime build up, and where the smells and drips come from.

Filters washed

Removed, washed, dried and checked for tears. A torn or warped filter lets dust through to feed the mould on the coil.

Coil cleaned of mould

Coil cleaner worked through the fins and rinsed out, lifting the mould and grime that block airflow and cause the smell.

Barrel fan cleaned

The fan behind the louvres. Black build-up on its blades is what throws musty air and dark specks into the room.

Drain flushed and tested

Tray and drain line cleared of slime, then tested with water. In humid weather a blocked drain is why a unit drips indoors.

The outdoor unit and testing

The half most services skip. In QLD it deals with salt air, summer storms, and geckos and ants nesting inside.

Outdoor coil washed

Leaves, lint and cobwebs cleared and the coil rinsed through. A blocked coil runs hot, costs more to run and trips on the worst days.

Fan, wiring and pests checked

Fan, mounts and pipe insulation inspected, terminals tightened, and the electrical box checked for geckos, ants and corrosion.

Pressures and temperatures

Gauges connected and air temperature measured in and out. The readings confirm the system is cooling the way it should.

Report and walkthrough

Readings, before-and-after photos and any recommendations explained on the spot. No extra work without your approval.

When to book in QLD

When to book an air conditioning service in QLD.

Service before the season, not in the middle of it. In Queensland the season is a long one: air conditioners in Brisbane, on the Gold Coast and on the Sunshine Coast run from October through to April, and further north they barely stop. Heat is only half of it. Months of humidity grow mould inside the indoor unit, which is why an air conditioner clean matters as much as the service. As a rule, book an air conditioning service once a year, before summer, and add a clean after the humid months if the system runs most days.

It runs most of the year

Book twice: a pre-summer service between September and November, and a clean between March and May. After a humid summer the coil and fan carry mould that is far easier to remove before it sets in.

Cooling is the main job

Book between September and November, before the first heatwave and the first storms. Once Brisbane hits a run of 35-degree days, a dirty outdoor coil turns into a tripped system and the wait for air conditioning repairs gets long.

Asthma, allergies or pets

Service twice a year. Humidity lets mould grow on a dirty coil, and the fan pushes it through the room every time the unit starts. A clean coil and fan mean cleaner air.

Air Conditioning & Heating in QLD, Answered.

What a service and clean include, what they cost, how often to book and what humidity does to a system. These are the questions QLD homeowners, landlords and businesses ask us most.

Split, multi-head & ducted

Which areas of QLD do you service?

We service homes and businesses across South East Queensland. In Brisbane that covers the CBD and inner city, the northside, southside and western suburbs, plus the Bayside and Redlands, Moreton Bay and North Lakes, Logan, and Ipswich and Springfield. On the coast we cover the Gold Coast, from Ormeau to Coolangatta, and the Sunshine Coast, from Caloundra to Noosa. Use the town checker on this page, or ask when you book and we’ll confirm.

Every split system service follows the same 12-step checklist:

  • wash the filters and clean mould from the indoor coil and barrel fan
  • flush the drain tray and line, then test them with water
  • wash the outdoor coil
  • check the fan, mounts and wiring for corrosion and pests
  • record pressures and air temperatures in cooling and heating

You get a written report with the readings and before-and-after photos. If a check fails, we show you and quote the repair before any extra work.

Servicing is a fixed flat fee: $259 for new customers and $249 for returning customers, applied automatically. The clean is included, and the price is the same for any brand of air conditioner. If we find something that needs more work, you get a clear quote first and nothing goes ahead without your approval.

At least once a year, before summer. In Queensland most systems run for six months or more, and humidity grows mould on the indoor coil. If your air conditioner runs most days, service it twice a year: once before summer and once after it. Homes near the beach, and homes with pets, asthma or allergies, also benefit from air conditioning maintenance every six months.

Before the season, not during it. Book a pre-summer service between September and November, before the first heatwave and the first storms. Book a clean between March and May, after the humid months. June to August is the quietest time of year, so it is the easiest time to get an appointment. Once Brisbane has a run of hot days, bookings fill quickly and the wait for air conditioning repairs grows.

Yes. Every air conditioning service includes a full clean: filters, indoor coil, barrel fan, drain tray and outdoor coil. You don’t need to book aircon cleaning separately. We also test the system after the clean, recording pressures and air temperatures in cooling and heating, so you know it is working properly as well as clean.

Yes. We service ducted air conditioning of all sizes. A ducted service includes:

  • cleaning the return-air filter
  • checking the indoor fan coil and duct connections
  • testing the zone motors and controller
  • cleaning and checking the outdoor unit

That keeps every room cooling evenly, including the ones furthest from the unit.

A musty smell usually means mould on the indoor coil and barrel fan, which is common in Queensland humidity. Water dripping from the indoor unit usually means a blocked drain line. A proper clean fixes both: the coil and fan are washed, and the drain is flushed and tested. If the smell or leak has another cause, we show you what we found and quote the repair first.

A service is routine maintenance that keeps a working system clean, efficient and reliable. A repair is for a fault: no cooling, leaks, noise or error codes. For air conditioning repairs we find the cause on site, quote the fix and repair most problems in one visit. Regular servicing is the best way to avoid them.
